OAKES, N.D. (From Oakes Public School) – Anna Sell has been named Oakes Public School Interim Superintendent.

Anna Sell began her love for education way back in Elementary school in Colorado. Her family eventually moved to Oakes where she attended and graduated from OHS in 1987.

Mrs. Sell holds a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in Math and Coaching, which she obtained at MSUM in 1991. In 2008, she earned a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from NDSU.

For the first 9 years of her professional career, Anna taught in Enderlin. After Enderlin, she worked as a teacher in Oakes for 6 years before moving to Ellendale to become the principal there for the next 6 years. Over 9 years ago, she made her way back to Oakes Public Schools and has been a vital part of the administrative team here ever since.

Anna and her husband, Randy, have 3 children, Makenzie (Alex), Kaleb and Logan. She is the proud grandma to two adorable grandsons, Reece, and Jalen, and is eagerly anticipating the arrival of a new granddaughter in November.

In her spare time, Mrs. Sell likes to read, quilt, and sew, but her most favorite thing to do is spend time with her family. Anna says, “I am very much looking forward to working with the ENTIRE team at OPS to make our school the very best it can be for our students K-12.” She continues, “#WeAreOakes – Which I have an endless amount of pride in!” We are excited to work with you in your new role as Superintendent, Mrs. Sell! Together we can do great things!”
