Since she departed Little Mix in December 2020, fans have eagerly anticipating Jesy Nelson's first album.

She had had released one song through her record company, Polydor, but she left them earlier this week after only 14 months.

The 31-year-old singer was claimed to have left the music company after opting to pursue a different career path, but what happened to her album?

According to The Sun, Jesy is being courted by many record labels, who are eager to sign her.

An insider revealed that there are even independent labels that feel they can help her "return to form" and offer her with the "freedom she craves."

"Jesy is pleased of the music she has created, and she understands precisely what she wants in terms of tone."

"She isn't going to hurry into anything," the insider continued, "but she's had a handful of meetings and is optimistic about the future."

Jesy Nelson continues to collaborate with US-based producers and songwriters following the success of her debut solo single, "Boyz," which was released in October 2021 and peaked at number four on the UK Singles Chart.

According to a source with knowledge of the situation, she decided it was the perfect moment for her to make a "clean break," since she and the label had been heading in opposite paths in recent months.

"And, while there had been no fallout, Jesy believed it was wiser to start again now - while everyone was still friends."

Though she allegedly had a terrific time with Polydor, she now wants to be able to truly create something as an individual artist in the future.

According to a record company spokesman, they wish Jesy Nelson "only the best for the future."

The former Little Mix star addressed worries about postponing her solo album two months ago, following allegations that her record company was "unimpressed" with early versions of her tracks.

Despite the fact that her song "Boyz" became a massive smash, she hasn't released any new music since.

She informed her fans, however, that they need not fear because she is working on new songs in Los Angeles and that they should "keep tuned."

Jesy also stated that her record is "nearly done."
