Plymouth Chamber of Commerce Announces Partnership with Habitat for Humanity to Build 25th Home

Jamie Fleury and her family

The 25th Habitat for Humanity Home in Marshall County will break ground in August.

It was recently announced that the Plymouth Chamber of Commerce will be partnering with Habitat for Humanity to build the home.  The home will be at 421 W. Garro Street, west of the Marshall County Neighborhood Center.

This year’s partner family is Jamie Fleury and her four children Allena, Hannah, Doyle and Naomi. Jamie works as a staff writer for The Pilot News and is the editor the Culver Citizen newspaper. She is also a member of the Plymouth Chamber of Commerce and other organizations in Marshall County.

The goal is to have the home enclosed and the roof installed by December prior to winter weather.

The timeline of completion is not estimated due to supply chain issues and volunteer availability.

Plymouth Chamber members who specialize in contracted construction phases are encouraged to contact Habitat for Humanity at 574-935-4214. In addition to heavy equipment and construction opportunities to assist in the project, those not quite skilled in those trades may volunteer at the Habitat for Humanity Restore which is a retail space that raises funds for the mission and vision of Habitat for Humanity.
