The temperatures maybe in the mid-90’s, but the fall sports season gets going this week at Carbon High as the Lady Dinos soccer squad will host two games Thursday and Friday. All the remaining sports boys golf, cross country, girls tennis, volleyball and football will be back and on the hunt by August 16.
The girls soccer squad gets things going this week as they will welcome Manti and Delta to Price on Thursday and Friday. Both games are scheduled to begin at 4 p.m.. We will get our first look at the RPI rankings on Sept. 1. The season will come to a close at home against Grand on Sept. 29, with the first round of the playoffs starting on Oct. 8 and the state tournament will run Oct. 12 -22.
The Lady Dino tennis team gets things going on Aug.8 on the road in Grantsville. They will be on the courts in Price for the Carbon Invitational on Thursday and Friday of that week. The region tournament will take place on Sept. 23 and State competition will take place Sept.29 thru Oct. 1.
Boys golf gets into the swing of things on Aug. 10 on the road in Cedar City. The Dinos will welcome Region 12 to Price on Sept.8. The region tournament will take place on Sept 21 and the state tournament will be held Oct. 5-6. Both region and state will take place at Cove View Golf Course, the home of the Richfield Wildcats.
The Dinos Football season starts on Aug. 12 with the Dinos on the road to face the Hillcrest Huskies. They welcome Grand to Price the following week on Aug. 19. The first look we will get at the RPI will be on Sept. 12 and Carbon wraps up the season on Oct. 13 in Cedar City to take on Canyon View. The first round of the playoffs will begin on Oct 21 and the state championships will take place Nov. 11 at Utah Technical University in St. George. Cross Country gets going on Aug. 13 with the Premier Invitational and welcomes Region 12 to Price on Sept.21. The region meet will be held on Oct. 19 with the state competition to follow on Oct. 25.
Carbon Lady Dino Volleyball welcomes Juab to the gym at Carbon High on Aug. 16. Their RPI will be released on Sept 12 and the State Championships will run Oct. 22-29.
