Green Bay man seriously injured in Oconto County crash

OCONTO – A Green Bay man was seriously injured in a one-vehicle crash in the town of Maple Valley early Sunday morning, according to an Oconto County Sheriff’s Office accident report.

Jeffrey M. Collard, 52, passed another motorist while northbound on State 32, weaved across the center line several times, entered the southbound ditch, crossed over Four Towns Road and rolled onto its roof.

Collard, who was not wearing a seat belt, had to be extricated from the minivan.

He was taken by ambulance to HSHS St. Clare Hospital in Oconto Falls.

Collard was cited for fifth/sixth offense OWI, failure to install/tampering with ignition interlock device, endangering safety by reckless driving, operating left of center, failure to keep vehicle under control and operating while revoked.

Criminal charges have not yet been filed in Oconto County Circuit Court.

The accident occurred about 4 miles north of Gillett at 2:35 a.m.
