Multiple downtown restaurants see closure

JONESBORO, Ark. (KAIT) - For fans of Eleanor’s Pizzeria in Jonesboro, your days of enjoying their fresh pizza are coming to an end.

On Monday, Aug. 1, the owners announced on social media they will be open for one more week.

The restaurant will close its doors permanently on Sunday, Aug. 7.

“This was not an easy decision,” the news release stated. “We cannot begin to thank you enough for all the love you have shown us (and of course our pizza). We wouldn’t have gotten this far without all our awesome guests and everyone who has worked with us over the last 5 years.”

This is the second restaurant on Main Street to close within the last few weeks.

Sunny’s on Main permanently closed on Saturday, July 23, following the sale of the building it was located in.

Donburi in Huntington Square closed indefinitely on Aug. 2, making it the third restaurant downtown to close within the last few weeks.
