Missouri Congresswoman Ann Wagner joins the Mark Reardon show to discuss recession’s redefinition by the White House and to share her thoughts on the Inflation Reduction Act.
“They're completely trying to redefine recession. A recession is two straight quarters of a downward GDP. So I mean that is what a recession is and yes we are sadly in one and what is most extraordinary as we spent the week either voting for or talking about things that would make it 1000 times worse,” shared Congresswoman Wagner.
Later she commented on the Inflation Reduction Act, “It's just gonna make this economic crisis much worse. And it's so clear it is spending trillions of dollars of hardworking taxpayers dollars along with the fact that we have no energy independence and this regulatory state that is really making everyone from our farmers to our small business owners suffer.”
