The first week of August brings new road closures around northeast Missouri.
Starting Monday, Route J in Macon County will be closed starting at Capital Place and ending at Diamond Avenue between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.
On Tuesday, Route J will be closed starting at Route HH and ending at Griffin Place between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.
While on Wednesday and Thursday, Route HH will be closed at Route J between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.
In Scotland County, Route C will be closed at Missouri Route 15 to Route B between 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. starting on Monday and will be completed by Wednesday.
Route DD will be closed at the Iowa state line to Route C between 7 a.m. and 4 a.m. starting Monday and the project will be completed by the end of Tuesday.
Route H will be closed at Missouri Route 15 to U.S. Route 136 between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. starting Tuesday and lasting until Thursday.
While in Kirksville, road crews will be working on Marion Street from Jefferson Street to Illinois Street starting on Tuesday.
During the work, the road will be reduced to one lane and during the day the road could be completely closed to accommodate the equipment.
Road crews encourage you to take a different route when possible and avoid driving while distracted.
