In the Republican race to take on Sen. Maggie Hassan, challenger Kevin Smith is picking up the endorsement of a congressman and former White House official. Rep. Ronny Jackson served as Chief Medical Advisor to former President Donald Trump, and prior to that appointment as Physician to the President for both Trump and former President Barack Obama. Jackson was elected to Congress in his home state of Texas in 2020.“Maggie Hassan and Joe Biden are doing their best to run our country into the ground with their failed socialist policies, and the American people can’t take it anymore,” Jackson said. “Kevin will fight to turn things around by securing our border, stopping the reckless spending, and defending our Constitutional rights."In a statement welcoming the endorsement, Smith calls Rep. Jackson “one of the most respected voices in Washington.”“Congressman Jackson is a true Patriot in the America First movement, and I am honored to have his support,” Smith said.
