Geoffrey told Page Six that he is “speechless” in regard to Jordyn’s performance and “beyond words proud.”

He also tells the outlet that he observed his son’s star power over the last five or six years. Over the duration of that time period, he says they’ve “worked together a lot” on the craft and the business aspect of entertainment.

Geoffrey, 61, played the role of Elvin Tibideaux in hit sitcom, The Cosby Show. Since the mid-80s-to-early-90s show, he’s been doing on-stage acting and teaching Shakespeare.

Jordyn, who previously occupied the guard position on the University of Massachusetts Lowell’s basketball team, is also a model and an artist.

Uncoupled is the latest show from Darren Star, creator of Sex and the City and Emily in Paris. Jordyn couldn’t be more thrilled about how the cast, script and overall project.

“It doesn’t get any better than this,” Jordyn tells Page Six. The show has allotted him the opportunity to work with Tisha Campbell and Marcia Gay Harden.

Neil Patrick Harris plays a 23-year-old newly single gay man who is learning to date again after a 17-year relationship ends. He’s starting over in a new era of dating while grieving the end of his longterm relationship.

"I applaud Netflix for being able to tell a breakup story that is an overt same-sex relationship of 17 years," Jordyn tells PEOPLE. “It doesn't feel shady, it feels authentic, and it allows people, regardless of their own circumstance, to relate to this notion of getting broken up with."

He also shared an Instagram post, writing, “I’m beyond blessed (cliche I know) to have made my appearance with some of the best in the business, great experience, always thankful.”
