Robert Allen Tripp was born August 30, 1954, in Indio, California, to Ernest Lyle and Heidie Ann (Klaeger) Tripp and passed away Friday, July 22, 2022, at his home in Carnegie having reached the age of 67 years, 10 months and 22 days.

Robert was raised and attended school in California. After graduating high school, he attended college where he studied to be a horticulturist. He enlisted in the U.S. Army with the Armored Tank Division and was among the earliest to arrive in Vietnam. During his service he was wounded by a tank round inside of the tank. June 28, 1981, Robert married Vonda June Holman in Las Vegas, Nevada, and they made their home in Canute.

Robert was a carpenter for many years and he worked alongside his wife building and remodeling houses. He travelled extensively and would gather orchids that he continued to raise for years.

He had a passion for animals and would never turn away a stray. Robert loved horses and all of God’s creatures. Robert was devoted to serving God and was bold in his faith — sharing God’s Word with everyone he came across.

He wanted everyone to have the same peace he had, so he shared the Word of God with the world and helped out as many people as he could along the way.

Survivors include: his wife of 41 years, Vonda Tripp, of their home in Carnegie; three sons, Bailey Tripp, of Carnegie, Stuart Tripp, of Weatherford and Ryan Tripp; two daughters, Brittany Glover and husband, Richard, of Carnegie, and Danna Kliewer and husband, Joshua, of Corn; eight grandchildren and one on the way; one sister, Margaret Louise Tripp; and three brothers, David Lyle Tripp, Gerald Edward Tripp and Steve Root Tripp.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Ernest Lyle Tripp, Jr. and Michael Keven Tripp.
