Love Island presenter Laura Whitmore has teased fans about her next project as she shared a title for her brand new true crime TV show.

The presenter posted a picture on Instagram earlier this week revealing the title of her new show: Laura Whitmore Investigates.

No further details were given, and currently there is no release date for when fans can expect to watch the show.

This is not the first true crime venture Whitmore has been a part of. She also has a true crime podcast called Partners in Crime, which she co-hosts with her husband and Love Island narrator Iain Sterling. The podcast launched it's first season in June.

Earlier this month, Whitmore announced her departure from BBC Radio 5's The Laura Whitmore Show after four years on air, in order to focus on other projects.

Heidi Dawson, controller of BBC Radio 5 Live, confirmed the news, saying (via The Sun): "Laura has made the difficult decision to leave after a brilliant four years. We'd like to thank her for the energy, insight and humour she has brought to this programme and look forward to working with her again in the near future."

Meanwhile, the former radio host was recently defended by ITV following critical comments from fans in response to her own remarks about Islander Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu on an episode of After Sun.

"Laura is the presenter of the show, and part of that role is to pose questions to the panel and discuss events in the villa," an ITV spokesperson said. "We do not condone trolling against either our host or our Islanders and any subsequent elevation of these comments."

Love Island airs on ITV2 and is available via catch up on ITV Hub and Britbox.
