Heavyweight champion of the world Tyson Fury has revealed his intention to run for Prime Minister in 2030.

Fury has, or so he claims, retired from boxing in order to focus on his family life and other endeavours away from the sport.

Whether the Gypsy King really does hang up his gloves remains to be seen, but he does have contingency plans in case his fighting days are done.

Having opened a new restaurant in Lancashire, Fury revealed his intention to run for Prime Minister when the year of 2030 comes around.

He’s quoted by The Sun saying, “I want to say thank you to everyone who turned up today. Don’t forget to vote for me in 2030 as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom – vote Fury.”

It remains to be seen exactly what political party he’d belong to, or if he’d create his own one, but we’d be interested to see how it played out.

Let’s be honest, even Fury, with no background in the world of politics, can’t be worse than the last bloke to occupy number 10…
