The Wichita Police Department (WPD) has arrested Kentrell Willingham, 25, and Xjohnna Hannah, 25, both of Wichita, on suspicion of 1st Degree Murder and aggravated endangerment of a child that fatally injured Lasiah Williams, 1.
Officers responded to a Child Abuse report at an area hospital just after 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. They were told a family member and guardian of Lasiah brought him to the hospital unresponsive. Lasiah was later pronounced deceased at the hospital.
The investigation revealed Lasisah had been with his Father, Kentrell Willingham, and his girlfriend Xjohnna Hannah, for a few days. A family member of Lasiah met Kentrell, Thursday
in the 1600 hundred block of South Oliver to exchange custody. The family member left with Lasiah and a short time later would realize Lasiah was unresponsive.
The family member and Lasiah’s legal guardian immediately drove to the hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
The investigation is still ongoing and will be presented to the District Attorney’s Office.
