Lincoln County Man Arrested, Faces Child Pornography Complaints

A Lincoln County man has been arrested by agents from the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation.

OSBI's Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force began its investigation after a tip had been submitted by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. The NCMEC received information from the file-hosting service Dropbox which indicated a user had uploaded suspected child pornography.

Authorities said the account in question has been traced back to a man identified as John Mack Byrd.

Byrd was booked in the Lincoln County Jail, and faces charges for possession of child pornography and violation of the Oklahoma Computer Crimes Act.
