The Effingham County community is rallying behind a Rincon family in need.
The Brady family's home caught fire on Tuesday. Their three-year-old son did not survive, and the mom was badly burned.
Family friend Misty Lavilla wasted no time creating a GoFundMe page for the Bradys.
"I wanted to do anything I could to help them," Lavilla said. "You know, losing one and then losing your home, I just couldn't imagine."

On the GoFundMe page, Lavilla said the mother, Sam Brady, received burns to more than 45% of her body. She told WJCL that Sam Brady's husband Joey is with her at the Augusta Burn Center while family members watch their surviving three children.
"Luckily, they have support," Lavilla said said. "They have people there."
Lavilla told WJCL Sam Brady likely has several surgeries still ahead of her, which is part of what inspired her to start this fundraiser.

"Unfortunately, with Sam having to be in the hospital, we all know expenses come with that," Lavilla said.
Just days after launching the GoFundMe page, Lavilla has almost met her fundraising goal of $15,000.
"The amount of support is unbelievable," Lavilla said.
The family's church, Countryside Baptist Church in Guyton, is also doing what it can to help out. Right now, the church is collecting donations of clothing for the boys as well as gift cards and cash for the family.
