Three new eateries offering Korean fried chicken are on their way to the Columbus area, two from a familiar name, with the third adding its first-ever Ohio store.

According to CM Chicken representative Min Kang, two new stores from the popular Korea-based brand will be opening in the greater Columbus area soon.

CM Chicken is planning to open a Westerville location at 5947 S. Sunbury Rd., in addition to a Pickerington location at 1510 Cross Creek Blvd. These restaurants will likely open later this summer or early fall.

CM Chicken, known for its ultra-crispy chicken and tikkudak chicken, which is finished on a charcoal grill, opened its first store in Ohio at 1132 Henderson Rd. last October.

Additionally, CM Chicken’s sister brand, 92 Chicken, is launching its first Ohio restaurant. 92 Chicken will be located at 12 S. Sandusky St. in downtown Delaware, the former site of The Flying Pig Ale House. It’s slated to open early this fall, according to franchisee Xueqin Chen.
