Clinton County Public Transit announced it will discontinue service on its seasonal CCC Express shuttle beginning this fall, citing a sharp decline in ridership.The agency said the route, which once offered a connection between Clinton Community College’s main campus and its dorms, has seen a sharp drop-off in riders ever since the student dorms closed. Officials also cited the increasing cost to maintain the bus fleet and a longer lead time to obtain parts needed for repairs as factors in the decision to cut the shuttle route.Those looking to take public transit to Clinton Community College will be able to do so using the Keeseville/AuSable route, which stops at the campus several times per day.
