If you want to see a heartening sign this morning that the word “dynasty” is still applicable to your favorite team, you’ll want to check out the NFL’s All-Under 25 Team for this preseason.

Even though the Kansas City Chiefs are growing up, they are still finding ways to cultivate young talent in the pipeline in order to maintain great players at important positions. For years, it felt like the Chiefs were dominating these lists with the likes of quarterback Patrick Mahomes, defensive tackle Chris Jones, wide receiver Tyreek Hill and more. These days, many of those young players are now into their prime years as the team’s core gains experience.

The Kansas City Chiefs found two of their offensive linemen featured on the NFL’s All-Under 25 Team this summer.

For the Chiefs to maintain their ability to compete for a Super Bowl every year, the team must find consistent success in the draft. The good news is that two of their picks from a year ago are the representatives on the latest All-Under 25 list from the NFL.

Columnist Nick Shook put this year’s list together and included both starting center Creed Humphrey and right guard Trey Smith in the mix, a sign of just how far the Chiefs’ offensive front has come in the last two years. As Shook writes, ‘The interior is solidified in Kansas City for years to come.”

Beyond those players, it’s important to note that the Chiefs also have a dynamic young linebacking corps in Willie Gay Jr. and Nick Bolton that could easily also make this list. Then this offseason, the Chiefs invested in 10 draftees giving them a good shot at also including another player or two on this list in the next season or so—from wideout Skyy Moore to cornerback Trent McDuffie to pass rusher George Karlaftis.
