Have you seen Steven Yeun in his latest film Nope? Well, if you are into strange films (in a good way) that make you think, you need to see this one. I won’t give anything away as I was very glad I hadn’t read any spoilers going in, but WOW! This is another excellent movie from Jordan Peele.

Yeun co-stars in the film with Daniel Kaluuya,  Keke Palmer, Barbie Ferreira, Brandon Perea, Michael Wincott, Wrenn Schmidt and Keith David. Kaluuya and Palmer portray siblings OJ and Emerald and have excellent on-screen chemistry. The entire cast did an amazing job in this film. It was great to see Micheal Wincott acting again.

Steven Yeun – Nope

In an interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Yeun was asked why people should see this film. His response:

"Because this is a fun ride, from the mind of a brillant artist, Jordan Peele, it will take you for a fun adventure, scare you, thrill you and make you think a little bit."

And he hit the nail on the head with that answer. My family and I talked about this movie for days afterward, trying to analyze elements and their meanings.

Yeun plays Ricky “Jupe” Park, a former child star who created a theme park around the film that made him a star. His involvement goes deeper, but again, I won’t spoil.

He shared some fun BTS photos from Nope on social media.

Yeun joined the cast on the red carpet at the A-list attended premiere on July 18. Peele’s purple suit was custom-made by Bode and featured the cloud from the posters promoting the film.

Nope has received generally favorable reviews, with most noting that it doesn’t compare to Peele’s Get Out and Us. This isn’t comparing apples to apples, as Nope is a much different film than his previous works.
