Former Tennessee athletic director and football coach Phillip Fulmer will be keeping a low profile while the school deals with the NCAA notice of allegations served last week.

The NCAA handed Tennessee a 51-page report that covered 18 Level I violations. The report outlined cash payments made to players by former coach Jeremy Pruitt, his wife Casey, coaches and boosters.

Pruitt and the majority of his staff were fired on January 18, 2021, after an internal investigation revealed recruiting violations. Pruitt spent the 2021 season as a defensive assistant with the New York Giants.

Fulmer spent four years as Tennessee AD before retiring in 2021. He spent 17 seasons as head coach of the Volunteers, going 152-52 with a BCS Championship in 1998.
