Lil Tjay is yet to give a direct update about his current health status after the shooting incident. However, some internet users began mocking him for "causing" the event.
Over a month since Lil Tjay was hospitalized after being wounded in a shooting incident in New Jersey, people are claiming that the incident was related to the beef he has with other rappers.
6ix9ine even took the spotlight for commenting on Akademiks's post about the incident and sharing laughing and crying emoticons. For what it's worth, he said, "Almost died for a burrito" after learning about the incident.
Because of this, some fans assumed that the shooting was actually related to Lil Tjay's beef with 6ix9ine and other hip-hop artists.
The talks started when multiple news outlets released a mugshot photo of the 27-year-old suspect, Mohamed Konate.
Under the posts, some users mocked Lil Tjay and claimed that the robbery happened because of the rapper's negative image.
One said, "Lil Tjay should've been more careful next time who he messes with, he's putting his life on the line by beefing whoever he beefs with, he should be more cautious like every other rappers."
"What beef lil tjay is even be in leading up to his shooting? Wild," one wrote, with another person adding, "He ain't get robbed bro he was a target. The shooter is linked with a boogie Been in pictures together, but they couldn't take the jewelry."
His fans immediately defended him and said that the robbery had nothing to do with Lil Tjay's relationship with other artists.
Lil Tjay's Beef Explained
Following the shooting, The Sun detailed the rapper's feud with 6ix9ine, Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, and Don Q. The news outlet also clarified that the argument had nothing to do with the shooting last month.
It all started in 2020 when the 21-year-old sparked a fight with the three rappers on Instagram. Lil Tjay said that he was not trying to argue anymore after insulting the three rappers.

"This is why I never like posting a lot because I can't control myself, start getting out of hand and s**t. My fault for getting out of composure," Lil Tjay said.
Although the beef is yet to be resolved, the rumors about their link to the crime should be taken with a grain of salt.
Konate, meanwhile, has been charged with attempted murder, armed robbery, and weapons offenses.
