APPLETON (WLUK) -- While it may not seem like the #1-selling Christmas artist of all time has much in common with a culinary show writer, one thing they share is that they will both be coming to Appleton this holiday season to perform at the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center.
Chip Davis, creator and founder of Mannheim Steamroller, is set to perform some of his classic Christmas hits along with multimedia effects in his "Mannheim Streamroller Christmas" show.
Davis made Christmas records a "must do" and is credited with establishing the New Age music category, according to the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center.
Davis will perform at 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 16 in Thrivent Hall.
Alton Brown is best known for his work as creator, writer and host of Good Eats. People may also recognize him as the host of Iron Chef and Cutthroat Kitchen. Brown has been on the Food Network for over 20 years.
Brown's "Beyond the Eats -- The Holiday Variant" will include cooking, comedy, music and "'potentially dangerous science stuff with a sprinkle of seasonal spices,'" according to the PAC. His shows tend to include interactive components, and this holiday performance will as well.
Brown will perform at 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 2 in Thrivent Hall.
Tickets for both shows go on sale July 29 at 10 a.m. and can be purchased at the PAC ticket office, online or by phone at (800) 982-2787.
