Jim McElwain to miss MAC Media Day after having seizure
Jim McElwain is the head coach at Central Michigan. The former Florida head coach and Alabama assistant was supposed to be at MAC Media Day this week, but unfortunately, that won’t be happening.
On Monday evening, McElwain took to Twitter to reveal that he had a seizure on Sunday and would be in the hospital for a few days.
Fortunately, McElwain said he’s doing fine and the tests he’s taken at the hospital have had positive results:
On Sunday I had a seizure. I’m doing fine and all the tests have come back good. The doctors have asked that I stay in the hospital for a few days, so I won’t be at MAC Media Day. I know Coach Akey, Lew and Jamezz will do a great job. I can’t wait to get camp started.

McElwain missed last year’s season opener at Mizzou after having emergency surgery for appendicitis.
Hopefully, McElwain recovers quickly and is cleared to return to the sidelines ahead of Week 1 of this season.
