1 arrested, 1 man wanted in connection to Bath County murder

OWINGSVILLE, Ky. (FOX 56) — An arrest warrant has been issued for a Jeffersonville man in connection to a murder in Bath County

Kentucky State Police said a shooting was reported at around 6 a.m. Monday on Adams Road, off Riddle Road in Bath County, that left one man dead.

The man was identified as Earl J. Stephens, 44, from Mt. Sterling, and the case is being investigated by Kentucky State Police.

After gathering information KSP said in a news release that they have charged and arrested 32-year-old Michael S. Walker, from Salt Lick. Walker was charged with murder and booked Monday in the Rowan County Detention Center, according to the detention website.

KSP has issued a second arrest warrant for 42-year-old Christopher “Rooster” Turner, from Jeffersonville, for murder. Turner is described as 5 feet 7 inches tall, 160 pounds with brown hair and green eyes.

Kentucky State Police are investigating a deadly shooting in Bath County that left one man dead.

Authorities said the incident was reported at approximately 6 a.m. Monday on Adams Road, off Riddle Road in Bath County.

Bath County Coroner Andrew Owens identified the victim as 44-year-old Earl Stephens and stated his cause of death was a gunshot wound.

KSP said multiple gunshots were reported in the area but that they cannot indicate if there are multiple suspects at this time.
