JAMESVILLE, Martin County —
The people were hurt and one was killed in an early morning crash near Jamesville.

At about 1 a.m., a hit-and-run crash was reported at Main Street and U.S. Highway 64.
Officials with the Jamesville Volunteer Fire Department said one car was found off the road in the curve on Main Street.
Three people were taken to the hospital, and one was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officials said the curve on Main St. has been the site of several fatal crashes, often involving people unfamiliar with the area. Emergency officials encourage everyone to obey posted speed limit signs and to be mindful of all signage on the roads.
