The 2022 Sac County Fair begins tomorrow (Tuesday) in Sac City. According to Fair Manager Amanda Weber, exhibits and animals begin arriving at 7 a.m., with the first shows and presentations starting at noon in the show ring. However, she says the fair does not officially begin until the opening ceremonies Tuesday evening.
Weber says the fair is the best time of year to celebrate the county’s youth involved in 4-H, FFA, and beyond. From raising livestock to crafting homemade quilts, she says it is always impressive what Sac County residents are capable of.
Like many fairs, Sac County fair week is also a time for a wide variety of entertainment. Weber says this year’s lineup includes comedians, roaring engines, live music, and more.
She adds the 2022 fair has other exciting additions to its schedule.
Carnival rides will be offered at the fairgrounds from Wednesday through Friday, and rides are free with the cost of admission. Daily admission is $10 for adults and climbs to $15 after 4 p.m. Kids nine to 13 years old get in for $5, and children eight and under get in for free.
