Amicalola Electric Membership Corporation’s teacher grant program is looking to reward teachers who plan, research, and put into action a creative classroom learning experience.
Georgia certified teachers at elementary schools, middle schools, high schools and private schools within the Amicalola EMC service area are invited to participate.
The service area includes northern portions of Cherokee County, Pickens County, and parts of Dawson County. To see the service area, visit https://bit.ly/3POZlik.
The program began in 2010, and since then, 800 classroom projects have been funded with over $500,000, according to Amicalola EMC.
Applications will be accepted starting Aug. 1. The early bird deadline is August 31, and the final deadline to apply is Sept. 9.
Grants will be funded up to a maximum of $1,000. Teachers who apply by the early bird deadline will be entered into a drawing to win one of several gift cards.
