Food Network star Alton Brown to bring cooking show to Upstate NY; see his tour date, ticket info

Food Network mainstay Alton Brown brings his new culinary variety show, "Beyond the Eats" to Upstate New York later this year.

Food Network and Netflix star Alton Brown is coming to Upstate New York later this year as a part of his “Beyond The Eats” tour. And maybe he’ll reconcile his beef with Buffalo wings once and for all.

Alton Brown Live: Beyond The Eats” will be making a stop to Utica, N.Y., at The Stanley Theatre on Tuesday, Nov. 22. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. on July 29 and can be purchased through Ticketmaster, or by calling The Stanley Theatre Box Office at 315-724-4000.

Audiences can expect more cooking, more comedy, more music and, “more potentially dangerous science stuff.” Get ready for an experience unlike any other and if Brown calls for volunteers, he says to “think twice.”

Earlier this year, Brown took to social media and admitted that, “I was wrong, the best wings are in Buffalo.” This came after some harsh criticism in a 2018 episode of First We Feast’sHot Ones.” In that episode, Brown said, “If you really want great Buffalo chicken wings...you don’t go to frickin’ Buffalo.”

After visiting The Queen City for a performance this April, he set out on the streets of Buffalo with two “wingmen”: WGR 550′s Nate Geary and Buffalo News Food Editor Andrew Galarneau. They stopped at La Nova, Elmo’s Bar and Restaurant and Bar-Bill Tavern in East Aurora.

Brown posted photos to social media of the saucy contenders for the day and said, “I got majorly schooled on #BuffaloWings today by local experts including Andrew Galarneau. I can say, I have had the best buffalo wing of my life and yes, it was in Buffalo. #NowIKnow.”

With his upcoming visit to the Mohawk Valley, will Brown be in search of the best tomato pie or chicken riggies? Only time will tell.
