A Pulaski County Republican Party Caucus held Saturday found a new District 3 County Council representative.
Four Precinct Committeemen were eligible to vote from the four townships in District 3 where Jerry Locke received the most votes out of four candidates who filed declarations. The three other candidates were Terry Young, Keith Powers, and Jennifer Knebel.
Locke was also chosen to be the Republican candidate for Pulaski County Council District 3 on the November General Election ballot.
Locke replaces Brian Young after he withdrew from his seat on the council and from the General Election ballot in late June.
Locke was a former county commissioner.
