FRANKFORT – A Ross county fair wants to make mullets great again, and wants to show of beards of all sizes at the Sunflower Festival in Frankfort Ohio.
Frankfort Sunflower Festival Mullet and Beard Contest occurs on July 30th and 31st in the town of Frankfort. This is a free event to attend however contestants will have a registration fee.$10 registration feeLocation: Main Stage at the Sunflower FestivalPre-registration is encouraged but the day of registration will be accepted. They even have Mullet Categories for kids 12 and under, teens and adults
1st-3rd place awards will be given to each age group. Mullets will be measured from the top of the head to the longest hair follicle laying naturally not stretched. Mullets will be judged on style and presentation, along with Contestants’ attitude, attention to the crowd, attire, and overall look Dazzle.
Beard contest is open to anyone who can grow a beard, including ladies!
Awards for 1st-3rd place will be given
Winners will be determined by a similar point system.
Size
The overall length of the hair.
Beards will be measured from the bottom lip to the end of the longest hair follicle laying naturally not stretched.
Style and Presentation
Contestants’ attitude, attention to the crowd, attire, and overall look Dazzle
How you portray yourself and your hairstyle through costume and stage presence.
Rules:
All mullets and facial hair must be grown by the participant. No fake hair, wigs, extensions, or artificial hair will be accepted.
This is a family event. No vulgar or non-family-friendly costumes are allowed.
The Frankfort Sunflower Festival is a celebration of the community and a way to give back to the people who make the community great. The festival features entertainment for the entire family and includes concessions, car show, antique tractors, games, live music, parade, sunflower contest, corn hole tournament, pie auction, and a craft tent. Along with a community church service on Sunday morning in the center of town.
