Four area boil orders were recently lifted by the Arkansas Department of Health, and three others remain in effect.

The West Stone County Water Association’s boil order in Stone and Searcy counties is no longer in effect. Boil orders for Mountain View Waterworks, the Richwoods Water Association and Pleasant Grove were also lifted Friday.

A boil order remains in effect for the Guion Water Association in Izard County. Two other boil orders in Stone County for the Sylamore Valley Water Association and Fifty-Six Waterworks also continue. All three orders are in effect due to main breaks.

All affected customers of current boil orders are advised the water may be unsafe for human consumption, and water used for drinking or food preparation must be boiled briskly for one minute prior to use. All ice cubes should be discarded and only boiled water used for making ice.
