A multicounty grand jury says the district attorney for Pottawatomie and Lincoln counties should be removed from office.
DA Allan Grubb is accused of misconduct, including sexual harassment of his staff and making deals with people accused of violent crimes.

His attorney says Grubb is innocent and the grand jury report shouldn’t have been released.
Staff from the Oklahoma Attorney General’s Office sent the report to local media. Their contention is that since it was read in open court Thursday, it can be made public.
The report is scathing. It’s packed with several accusations against the top law enforcement official in Lincoln and Pott counties.
In one accusation, the report says Grubb allegedly considered charging a sexual battery victim with criminal prostitution. The victim had accused a man that was a relative of one of Grubb’s close friends.
Another one says after an employee reported sexual harassment, Grubb allegedly said the victim should have sex with him and have his baby.

Grubb’s lawyer says on top of the accusations being false, the AG’s Office broke the law. The AG’s Office refutes this.
“He (Grubb) denies each and every single allegation. One, it’s false, number two, it’s misconstructed and number three, this simply didn’t happen,” attorney Robert Gifford said. “We are at a process now where they are just trying to smear his name, this is purely political, and to this date I still haven’t seen the official charges.”

Grubb lost reelection in June. His term is set to expire in January. The person who won the seat died days after the election. Gov. Kevin Stitt could appoint someone to the seat who would remain in office until another election could be held.
