CLEVELAND, Ohio - Cleveland Guardians pitcher Aaron Civale has been diagnosed with a ligament sprain and inflammation in his right wrist.
Civale, who was placed on the 15-day injured list back on Jul. 14 after exiting a 2-1 loss to the Chicago White Sox a day prior, was evaluated during the recent MLB All-Star break. He is expected to resume throwing next week and rejoin the Guardians roster some time in August.
The 27-year-old right-hander is 2-5 with a 6.17 ERA in 12 games this season.
