The tire distribution company opened its 74th location in Buffalo Grove this week.

TireHub has opened its largest warehouse to date in the Chicago area.

The company, a tire-distribution joint venture between Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. and Bridgestone Americas that is now one of the leading distributors of both brands nationally, opened a new facility in Buffalo Grove this week, now its 74th location in the U.S.

“This is our second warehouse in the metro Chicago area where we receive in and ship out tires to our customers so they can put on tires they’ll love,” a spokesperson with the Atlanta-area company told the Chicago Business Journal.

The 78,000-square-foot building features 40-foot-by-40-foot bay spacing, 20 exterior loading docks and one drive in-door. The Buffalo Grove facility also features a 24-foot clear height and 66 parking spaces.

TireHub expects to employ 16 people at full staff at the new location — found at 300 Hastings Dr. in Buffalo Grove — and is currently halfway there with eight.

“Our goal is to be the leading wholesale tire distributor in the United States,” said Ted Becker with TireHub in a news release. “To accomplish this, we are consistently expanding and strengthening our presence across the country to provide exceptional customer service. TireHub’s trajectory going into 2022 is undeniably strong, and we are confident about what’s ahead for us in the new year.”

TireHub is leasing the property, though the company declined to share specific deal terms.
