Happy birthday Maggie Lindemann!

The singer, known most for her hit 2016 single entitled, "Pretty Girl," is showing the world that she's not done and from here on, bigger and better things are going to happen to her music career.  New songs and a concert are down the road.

Maggie Lindemann just released her rebellious new video/single "you're not special," which is the fourth track from her debut full-length SUCKERPUNCH. The video/song follows the release of "she knows it," "how could you do this to me?" (with Kellin Quinn), and "break me!" (feat. siiickbrain).

"you're not special" is greatly influenced by Quentin Tarantino's 2007 action-thriller Death Proof, which was directed by Vixxion ("she knows it"). In accordance with the concept of the song, "you're not special" sees Maggie and her pals confronting a creepy stalker by taking matters into their own hands.

"With 'you're not special,' I wanted the song to make a statement," Maggie shares. "Everyone has had to deal with someone in their lives who is two-faced-so kind to your face and mean behind your back. There's always going to be someone judging you or hoping to see you fail, but rather than let those people get under your skin-keep doing you and pursuing your dreams. This song is an anthem for these people of Janus, maybe not the one they want, but it sure was fun to write!"

Maggie revealed the title of her debut full-length album in April, along with a website for the record that reveals extra content (liner notes from Maggie, BTS videos, song demos, release dates, music video trailers, etc.) upon solving puzzles/ciphers. Maggie conceived of the website after watching the American horror film SAW.

Following the success of her well-received 2021 EP PARANOIA, this 15-track album follows a journey of self-discovery and actualization. Maggie explains, "It's the path from being sad to angry to hopeful - a hopefulness I want listeners to know exists for them, too." SUCKERPUNCH will be released on September 16. Here you may preorder the album.

Maggie has also planned two pop-up gigs in Los Angeles on October 15 at The Moroccan Lounge and in New York City on October 19 at The Mercury Lounge. Tickets will go on sale at 1 PM ET / 10 AM PT on this page at 1 PM ET / 10 AM PT.

Maggie's sound altered in 2020 to coincide with her own musical influences and to inspire a generation of young women searching for their own voices. She has accumulated more than a billion streams since she began producing music. Since she began releasing her own music on her own label, Maggie has vowed to be her authentic, unvarnished, and uncompromising self.
