New series starring Tom Holland filmed in Hastings-on-Hudson
This week's heat wave has not seemed to put a damper on filming in the area, which continues at a — ahem — blistering pace this summer.
Last week, the "Crowded Room," a new Apple + TV series series starring Tom Holland, set up shop on Main Street in Hastings-on-Hudson to film scenes. Instagram posts show Holland and actress Zendaya, who was visiting the set. The pair are posing with what is clearly the village's Main Street in the background. Other shots show Holland and his brother, Harry walking in the same area, with Upstream Gallery behind them.
The series, from Akiva Goldsmith, explores the true stories of people who have struggled with mental illness.
Here's what else is filming around the area. If you spot filming, or notices about filming, let us know! Email Karen Croke at kcroke1@lohud.com

"Law & Order"
On Tuesday, the long-running NBC drama starring Anthony Anderson and Jeffrey Donovan was filming scenes in White Plains on Church and Chambers Streets, according to the eagle-eyed fan who posted the info to the On Locations Twitter page, @olv. Fans of Anderson will have to get their fill during summer re-runs of the current season: The actor will not be a "Law & Order" cast member in the upcoming season 22, which premieres Sept. 22.
"Poker Face"
The Peacock series starring Natasha Lyonne had been looking for local extras, perhaps to film scenes this week in the Poughkeepsie area. Film crews were reportedly on Reade Place in Poughkeepsie on Monday, and due to film in Milton on Tuesday and Marlboro on Wednesday. Filming took place back in June in Beacon, at the Story Screen Theater.
In addition to Lyonne, the mystery series stars Adrien Brody, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Chloe Sevigny, Stephanie Hsu, Benjamin Bratt and others. It was created, directed and written by Rian Johnson of “Knives Out” fame. Filming for the 10-episode first season was set to be based in the Fishkill and Newburgh areas. The series is expected to feature a different mystery each week.
Midge is back
The Netflix series "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel" is due to film scenes in Chester on Wednesday. Even if Suburbarazzi often cannot discover exact filming locations, Walters Hotdogs knows where to find Midge when she's in the area: Their food truck has catered several filming shoots recently.
"Fallout"
Also filming locally is "Fallout," with crews in Verplanck on Monday and Tuesday. According to Variety, the Amazon series is based on the video games of the same name and is set "in a world where the future envisioned by Americans in the late 1940s explodes upon itself through a nuclear war in 2077." Kyle MacLachlan stars.
"The Gilded Age"
HBO's "The Gilded Age" returned to Tarrytown to film scenes at Lyndhurst, the National Historic Trust site, as evidenced by the crew signs posted along Broadway last week. The first season of the series features multiple scenes shot on the estate including exteriors and interiors.
"City on a Hill"
The upcoming third season of the Showtime series "City on a Hill" is set to drop July 29. Why is this significant? The series, set in Boston and starring Aldis Hodge and Kevin Bacon, actually films the majority of its scenes in Westchester. According to a post on The Westchester County Office of Film & Tourism blog, nearly every episode has been filmed, at least in part, in the county. Crews used locations in New Rochelle and White Plains to stand in for the Boston neighborhoods of Charlestown, Roxbury and Beacon Hill. Tune in to see if you can spot the local scenes.
