Spindletop Center will host a grand opening event for its mobile RV clinic, located in front of the Hardin County Courthouse in Kountze, at 10 a.m. on Aug. 2.

The mobile RV clinic is part of a concentrated effort by Spindletop Center “to reach the more rural communities of Southeast Texas,” reports the organization. Spindletop Center served 1,344 individuals in Hardin County during its most recent fiscal year, and the mobile RV clinic “aims to improve the access of care for individuals in a more rural area of Hardin County.” The Spindletop Center mobile RV clinic offers scheduled adult outpatient services and is open every Wednesday from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

“We are thrilled to be able to offer the residents of Hardin County better access to mental health care through our mobile clinic,” said Holly Borel, chief executive officer of Spindletop Center. “Available due to support from Moody Foundation and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas, we are glad to bring these services to the local community and are confident that it will be a success.”

The community is welcome to the grand opening event on Aug. 2. Spindletop Center CEO Holly Borel and Hardin County Judge Wayne McDaniel both plan to be in attendance to say a few words. The mobile RV clinic is also scheduled to be open for viewing.
