OKLAHOMA CITY (KOKH) — An Oklahoma woman has been arrested on complaints in connection with the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol.
Dova Winegeart of Fairview was arrested on Tuesday after two tipsters, both friends of Winegeart, submitted photos allegedly showing Winegeart on U.S. Capitol grounds.
Photos show Winegeart swinging a long wooden pole at a window of a door to the House of Representatives. The window had several cracks and holes.
According to federal court records, Winegeart sent numerous text messages to witnesses following the riots.
Text messages included:
- "Had to stay in hotel after storm of capital. It got crazy. I did sh*t."
- "Some false stories going around. We have tons of video. A lot of p*ssed off Trump supporters. A few Antifa. Yes we are mad. Yes we want to go inside Capital. It's our building. Not the governments. We are their bosses but get treated like dogs. I'm done with this government. It's fight time non stop now. They asked for it."
- "No I didn't go inside couldn't break open alone. Moved onto balcony with cops after. Pieces of sh*t."
- "I'm good. I'm sore. I'm exhausted. I feel horrible. But I'll keep fighting. Nothing to loose."
- "I'll send ya videos when I can."
- "Emergency broadcast system will be sounding off in near future. Then it's go time for real."
Winegeart faces charges of Disorderly and Disruptive Conduct, Acts of Physical Violence, and Destruction of Government Property.
