Following a brief delay, Austin McBroom vs. AnEsonGib in a YouTuber vs. YouTuber boxing fight is back on.
The fight, which was scheduled for July 30 at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, will now take place on September 10 from inside Banc of California Stadium in Los Angeles. AnEsonGib had to back out of the bout in order to undergo medical tests.
The fight has been billed as a grudge match. In 2021, AnEsonGib competed on the undercard of McBroom's YouTubers vs. TikTokers boxing event against Taylor Holder. The fight was declared a majority draw, a result that was deemed controversial. AnEsonGib said he was "robbed." The draw was later overturned and AnEsonGib was given a unanimous decision win.
AnEsonGib believes that McBroom and Social Gloves played politics, which resulted in the bout being scored a draw. Now, the two will settle a score that has elevated since the fight had to be moved.
"The fight is back on!!! September 10th in Los Angeles at Banc of California," McBroom stated on Instagram. "I’m still pissed and confused why this fight had to be postponed. Gib did his medical exams with his doctors in the UK and he did not pass do to “an injury” but then he came to LA and did another medical exam with my doctors and results came back with NO injury which only has me to believe that he just needed more time to train or he needed more time for the steroids to get out of his system. The thing is I would fight him even with him on steroids and him being 20 pounds heavier than me, I don’t give a s--- cuz either way I’m going to embarrass and batter this lil boys face in September 10th for wasting my damn time and energy. You got about 4 weeks left of safety, you better cherish these moments."
Why was Austin McBroom vs. AnEsonGib initially canceled?
TMZ Sports was first to report that a head injury forced AnEsonGib to back out of the bout 10 days before fight night. Doctors would not clear him, TMZ reported.
McBroom initially said on Instagram that the fight may have to be postponed, but he was willing to wait for AnEsonGib's lab results from Los Angeles. AnEsonGib eventually posted a video on Twitter explaining his side. He said he needed to undergo more medical exams to be sanctioned to fight.

Since that post, McBroom has called out AnEsonGib multiple times. The bout was then canceled by McBroom, stating that the aforementioned tests would take longer than expected.
Along with that bout, fans were looking forward to fights between Adrian Peterson and Le'Veon Bell as well as Swaggy P vs. Blueface. Now, both bouts are back on.
