Lewis County Fair Begins

The 46th annual Lewis County Fair has begun and offers many activities and events for all ages.
Family Fun Night is July 20, with kids 12 years old and younger free admission and reduced admission price for Seniors 65 years old and older.

Thursday evening, July 21, is the Night of Destruction in the Main Arena. 2 wheel and 4 wheel drive redneck rally race, Tough Trucks and the Stock Figure 8 Race will be a fun way to spend the evening.

The very popular demolition derby will be held Friday evening, July 22. Four classes will compete for cash prizes and trophies.

Kids games will be held on Saturday afternoon, July 23. Twin State Pulling Association Truck and Tractor pull will be held that evening.

Jones and Company will provide carnival rides, inflatables and games. Armbands and tickets are available each evening. Displays, exhibits, animal shows are all a part of the fun times.

The 2022 Fair honors William “Butch” and Dorothy O’Brien. Mr. O’Brien has served on the Lewis County Fair Board for many years. He was instrumental in many general maintenance projects with the buildings and the grounds. The couple worked together in many ways to help the fair each year. Mrs. O’Brien has worked in the Home Ec Building with check in, judging and arranging project. The couple has three daughters and four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. The family has always been active in the Lewis County 4-H program and helping with the fair each year.

Attend the fair and support the many businesses, individuals and volunteers that make this event happen each year. The fair board welcomes volunteers to help with the event.
