Former “Bachelorette” Kaitlyn Bristowe “f—kkkin hates” when ABC names two women in the role, forcing them to compete against each other.
Season 19 of the show has former contestants Gabby Windey and Rachel Recchia sharing the journey to find love.
“I f—kkkin hate this,” the 37-year-old tweeted as the July 18 episode aired. “Am I being dramatic?? I cannot believe they are doing this to these women, and to the men. #TheBachelorette.”
The “Off the Vine” podcast host’s “Bachelorette” season premiered seven years ago where she shared the “Bachelorette” title with Britt Nilsson on the first night before the men of the season ultimately voted for Bristowe to be the solo lead.
On the second episode of the latest season, the two bachelorettes seemed to both hit it off with contestant Logan Palmer, both making out with him.
When Rachel, 26 and Gabby, 31, reunited to debrief, Rachel told Gabby about her moment with Palmer, but Gabby did not share that she too had a connection with him or that they had kissed.
Bristowe was not too convinced that this was all that played out during the interaction though, tweeting, “Why do I feel like Gabby told Rachel she kissed him too, and they edited it out #TheBachelorette.”
At the end of the episode, Gabby and Rachel decided together who would be staying and who would be going, but the teaser for the rest of the season leads viewers to believe that the two women will be making individual decisions in the future rose ceremonies.
The premiere of the never-been-done-before season stirred up some controversy when former “Bachelor” Clayton Echard said that digs made at him on the episode were “cyberbullying” on Bristowe’s podcast.
Many of the contestants on Gabby and Rachel’s season took the opportunity to make fun of Echard, 29, after he told both women he loved them and slept with both of them on his season.
The two bachelorettes insisted that no one was trying to bully Echard though, telling Us Weekly that it was all said “in good fun.”
