Sandeep Das & Mike Block

Two beloved Neighborhood Arts mainstays who can do it all continue their joyful, world-spanning partnership, an ongoing musical dialogue that celebrates its tenth anniversary in 2023! 

Tabla virtuoso Sandeep Das and innovative cellist Mike Block both play in the Silkroad ensemble, and their duo and small-ensemble work together since 2013 has revealed their true musical kinship. Their style fuses Indian Classical with European and American styles from Baroque to bluegrass. Das and Block bring together unexpected elements to speak to profound truths, and each celebrates the other’s musical heritages to create something genuine, eclectic, and soulful.
