Nicki Minaj's new music came as a shock for most fans as she has been mum about releasing new content in the past few months. Although she promised a summer album earlier this year, she has not provided any more details about it.

The video, now amassing 2.6 million views, 38.1 k retweets, and over 116k likes, reached the original creator.

On a very rare occurrence, Rick James, well, his estate, which has been handling his Twitter account, gave his posthumous seal of approval on Nicki Minaj's upcoming new song.

Based on Nicki Minaj's most recent Instagram story, "Super Freak" gained a massive resurgence on Itunes R&B/Soul charts - from 0 to No. 171 to No. 45 in the past three days since the Freaky Girl snippet.

Barbz, Nicki Minaj's fans, while enthralled with the approval, poke fun at James' flowers - noting how Minaj can literally "resurrect the dead" to get his blessing.
