Every Sunday, 5-7pm, 95.5 KLAQ brings you two hours of the latest national rock releases & we shine the spotlight on local rock from El Paso & around the Borderland. We call it: Q-Connected.

As we know, John Moyer, legendary bassist for the metal band Disturbed, is a fellow El Pasoan & has been in Disturbed as well as many bands during his career. In fact our own Kevin Vargas got to interview him a while back, where John shared some of his favorite El Paso memories.

As we all know, he's still very active with Disturbed, they just put out a new song this past Thursday, called "Hey You". But that wasn't the only thing John did recently: he helped mix & master all the tracks on the Illuminate album by Go Axe Alice, a rock band hailing from Alamogordo, New Mexico.

We'll also hear from another artist who's grabbed the attention of national talent: in this case, a record label. Late Night Drive Home recently got signed onto the same record label as Nonpoint so we'll hear a song from their debut album "How Are We Feeling?"

We'll also from the latest from Steellake, Xminus1, a P. Razors song that Eddie from Stranger Things could've easily pulled off & much more.

On the national side, we'll hear John Moyer in action by playing the new Disturbed as well as the latest releases from I Prevail, (even though it was a Taylor Swift cover that was their first big hit, they're proving their originals rock JUST as hard) & the new one from Beartooth.

If you're a local artist or you have a band in El Paso & have performed within 200 miles of El Paso, you can send your tunes for the next Q Connected HERE or send me an email at daniel.paulus@townsquaremedia.com
