(July 15, 2022 9:55 AM) Today, Jackson College announced the Potter Center 2022-‘23 season entertainment lineup.  Acts include diverse performances with live music, comedy, and dance — even some canine stars. Season tickets go on sale this Monday, July 18.

This season’s performances include:

We Are Messengers with special guest, Jordan St. Cyr, 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 18, 2022

We Are Messengers consists of friends Darren Mulligan (lead vocals), Kyle Williams (guitar), Drew Kerxton (drums) and Raul Aguilar (bass). “Power” is the band’s first full-length record since their critically acclaimed, self-titled debut. With nearly 100 million on-demand streams and more than 1 billion radio impressions, the Dove-nominated and K-LOVE Fan Award-winning band boasts six Top 10 Billboard Christian Airplay hits and three Top 5 singles. Also enjoy Jordan St. Cyr, the No. 2 Top New Christian Artist of 2021 according to Billboard, which also listed his song “Fires” in four of the top year-end Christian songs charts.

REO Speedwagon, 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 14, 2022

Fronted by iconic vocalist Kevin Cronin since 1972, REO Speedwagon’s unrelenting drive never stopped, nor did the road tours or recordings that jump-started a burgeoning rock movement in the Midwest. In 1980 they released their explosive album, “Hi Infidelity,” which contained songs like “Keep On Loving You” and “Take It On The Run.” Now 40 million records later, people all over the world still come out to watch them play live! Fans will enjoy “In Your Letter,” “Can’t Fight This Feeling,” “Time for Me To Fly,” “Roll With The Changes,” and many more.

Paul Reiser, 7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 23, 2022

Comedian and actor Paul Reiser, star of “Mad About You” and “My Two Dads,” returns to his standup roots to share his memorable brand of observational, storytelling humor. He is one of the most prolific creatives in Hollywood, and he shows no signs of slowing down. Reiser is starring in two hit shows for Netflix: “Stranger Things” as Dr. Sam Owens, and “The Kominsky Method,” for which he received an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series. He is one of Comedy Central’s “Top 100 Comedians of All Time.”

Craig Morgan’s God, Family and Country Tour with opening act Ray Fulcher, 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 4, 2022

Craig Morgan is a country music icon, TV personality, celebrated outdoorsman and patriotic Army veteran. Morgan has charted 25 songs on Billboard and thrills massive crowds with signature hits. Fans will enjoy hits including “Bonfire,” “Almost Home,” “Redneck Yacht Club,” “International Harvester,” “This Ole Boy,” Wake Up Loving You” and the four-week #1, “That’s What I Love About Sunday.” Morgan will also perform songs from his latest release, “God, Family, Country,” including his stunning “The Father, My Son and the Holy Ghost.”

The Sensational Acrobats of The Shanghai Circus, 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 19, 2022

With origins that date back to ancient harvest festivals, The Shanghai Circus offers performances encompassing everything one can think of from the Chinese circus. From the dangers of the chairs stacked high in the air to the balancing cylinders in the Rolla Bolla act, excitement mounts with the many acrobatic feats of strength and graceful art. Amazement continues with the thrill of the skaters, the tumbling of the daring Hoop Divers, and the classic young ladies lost in a maze of spinning hoops. Incredible acts build, bringing audiences to the edge of their seat for an exciting evening for youngsters from nine to 92.

MICHAEL BOLTON “Greatest Hits and Holiday Favourites,” 7 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 4, 2022

Michael Bolton is a Grammy Award-winning singer, songwriter and humanitarian who has sold more than 65 million records. His most recent release, “A Symphony of Hits,” is a collection of his favorite hits newly arranged and recorded with a full symphony orchestra. It reached the No. 1 album spot on the Billboard Classical Chart. Bolton has seen nine studio albums rank in the Top 10, with nine No. 1 singles. Along with 2 Grammys for Best Pop Male Vocal Performance, he’s received six American Music Awards, three Emmy nominations and a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.  

Shadows of the 60s: A Tribute to Motown Super Groups, 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, 2023

Shadow of the 60s pays tribute to the tremendous legacy of Motown’s super groups, a salute to the legendary stars of Motown such as The Temptations, The Four Tops, The Supremes, Marvin Gaye, Tammi Terrell, Smokey Robinson, Stevie Wonder, and many more. In this highly interactive and visually stunning production, Shadows of the 60s perform the hits that span several decades. Featuring top industry musicians and singers dressed in exquisitely designed costumes and dazzling choreography, Shadows of the 60s presents the music of Motown with the intensity of the original recorded performances.

Wings: Dublin Irish Dance, 7 p.m. Saturday, March 4, 2023

Wings: Dublin Irish Dance is a new Irish dance production created in Ireland by a critically acclaimed artistic team. This unique production features exquisite Irish and world champion dancers together with Ireland’s finest musical and vocal virtuosos. Complete with original music and choreography, this ground-breaking production, infused with world dance and musical influences, will thrill audiences with its transformative emotional energy and imaginative design.

Lonestar, 7 p.m. Sunday, March 19, 2023

Country supergroup Lonestar is still a force to be reckoned with! Known for merging their country roots with strong melodies and rich vocals, Lonestar has created hit after hit; including chart-topping modern classics like “No News,” “Come Cryin’ to Me,” “Amazed, “Smile,” “I’m Already There,” “My Front Porch Looking In” and “Mr. Mom.” Lonestar celebrates a big career milestone in 2022, 30 years together! They are grateful for what they have accomplished and excited about the future.

Hollywood Nights:  The True Bob Seger Experience, 7 p.m. Saturday, April 1, 2023

Bob Seger’s music brings rock & roll back to its roots, and Hollywood Nights brings this experience to life! This 10-piece New Jersey-based powerhouse has set out to re-create everything about Bob Seger & the Silver Bullet Band to the smallest detail. The band prides itself on continuing the groundwork laid down by Seger over the past 30 years. They believe what only Bob and his fans have come to know and love: Represent the voice of every fan, their values, working-class background, and the love of rock ‘n’ roll. True Bob Seger fans won’t want to miss Hollywood Nights!

The Perondi’s Stunt Dog Experience, 12 p.m. & 4 p.m. Sunday, April 23, 2023

This cast of performers and dogs will delight audiences of all ages, with high-energy excitement from beginning to end. With the Stunt Dog Experience, you can witness amazing stunts ranging from acrobatics to comedy. You will meet a cast of professional performers along with over a dozen talented pound pups. The show brings forth pet adoption awareness as all the dogs have been rescued from pounds and shelters nationwide. Every show also includes interactive crowd participation. It’s not just a show, it’s an experience!
