'J.P. Trumble Express' carries name of retired firefighter killed in Road 702 Fire

The retired firefighter killed at the beginning of the Road 702 Fire near Cambridge was honored this week at the Furnas County Fair.

The "J.P. Trumble Express" is named for the man who gave his life to try and save others from a blaze that burned 44,000 acres in April.
J.P. was one of the founding members of the Furnas County Home Owned Carnival, served on the board for over 20 years and ran the train ride as part of his volunteering duties at the fair.

His family is sponsoring free rides on the J.P. Trumble Express throughout the fair.
