Malcolm Brogdon is ready to start a new chapter in his career after joining the Boston Celtics a couple of days ago. The veteran point guard spent a couple of seasons in Indiana, but the Pacers have a different approach now, which prompted them to trade Brogdon to Boston.

This is a big move for the C's, who will have a better team next season to try to get revenge after losing the 2022 NBA Finals. This could be a win-win situation for the player and the team since they both have big aspirations entering the upcoming season.

Brogdon could have been in a different situation now if his guess was right. The new Celtics member recently revealed that he thought his new team would be the Washington Wizards, where he would have teamed up with Bradley Beal. Talking to reporters, Brogdon opened up about his expectations on draft night.

“I thought it was going to be Washington. I heard the Pacers loved the idea of having the 10th pick — having two picks in the lottery. And I knew Washington needed a good vet PG to play with Bradley Beal & I knew I fit his timeline, everything fit… I’m basically homegrown in D.C. A lot of roots. University of Virginia. A lot of family there. It would’ve been a little too perfect.”

This backcourt would have been great to watch, as Brogdon is getting better every season. After Beal signed a huge extension with the Wizards, now they only need to pair him with the right player to lead the team to the promised land. Unfortunately, Brogdon won't be that guy.

He's now ready to bring his best game to the Celtics and help them improve what they did last season. Many people think the C's got a steal with Brogdon and he's keen to prove everybody right. The Celtics landed a valuable player and they're now the favorite to win the East next season.
