Marco appointed appraiser for Cloud, Republic counties

The appointment of Toby Marco as the appraiser for Cloud County and Republic County was approved by the Cloud County and Republic County board of commissioners on Monday.
The appointment of Marco as appraiser is pending approval of a pre-employment screening.
Marco will replace Barry Porter, who is retiring on Friday after serving 26 years as the Cloud County appraiser.
Porter, who was the appraiser in Republic County for 30 years, took over in Cloud County in March 1996.
A graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a bachelor of science degree in construction management, Marco has worked as a commercial and residential field appraiser in Saline County since April 2014. He is an experienced registered mass appraiser with nearly seven years of experience in commercial, industrial and residential appraisal practice.
