World Congress of Nurses coming to Bucks this summer

Nurses from 21 countries will deliver presentations on scientific research and healthcare proposals Aug. 2-4 in Doylestown

The National Association of Catholic Nurses USA is hosting a World Congress of Nurses at the National Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa in Doylestown Aug. 2-4.

Nurses from 21 different countries will deliver presentations on scientific research and healthcare proposals to improve healthcare globally. Opportunities for public engagement are available on Aug. 2.

Cardinal Peter Turkson, Prefect of the Vatican Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development, will deliver the keynote address. A special guest evening event and Dignitary Dinner are planned. Guest speakers include Father Gerald E. Murray, JCD, author of the newly-released book Calming the Storm: Navigating the Crisis Facing the Catholic Church and Society; Immaculee Ilibagiza, survivor of the 1994 Rwandan Genocide and author of several books, including Our Lady of Kibeho and Left to Tell; and Sister Emanuella Edwards, Congregation of the Missionaries of Divine Revelation (Rome, Italy). The guest speakers have been featured on TV and radio programs, including EWTN, Fox News and more. An opportunity for book signing will follow the evening event.
